An evening lady - Francis Cabrel

An evening lady

Lady of an evening,

I imagine you effortlessly.

Lady of an evening,

I draw you

When I fall asleep.

Let the light do it,

Let yourself gently lift,

Close your eyes,

Outside it is raining, a little.

You drift, captive,

To the white sun of a new day;

Someone is waiting for you

At the end of the ocean.

Lady of an evening,

I imagine you effortlessly.

Lady of an evening,

I draw you

When I fall asleep.

Sirens warn you

That a sailboat approaches your body,

Full of ribbons

And white butterflies

For your child’s wings.

Our shoulders touch,

Our veils melt on the same fire,

Our bodies slide

Down to the beaches of Atlantis.

Sirens warn you

That a sailboat approaches your body,

Full of ribbons

And white butterflies

For your child’s wings.

The immense silence,

Just the music of your heart,

Nobody around

But our breaths of love.

Watercolor, new

On pink and white threads of wools,

Close your eyes

Outside it is raining, outside it is raining a little, a little.
